If rumors are to be believed, Capcom is preparing to unveil a new edition of its hit fighter Marvel vs. Capcom 3 at this year’s Comic-Con event in San Diego. According to Comic blog The Quarter Bin, Capcom producer Ryota Niitsuma will announce a sub-sequel called Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 at the Capcom panel on July 23. In the tradition of Super Street Fighter IV, which released last April, the game will ship with all the original content, plus additional content, for less than the price of the original. How did it work out for Capcom with Super Street Fighter IV?
The game sold over 250,000 copies after its first four days. So even the grumblings of the original buyers couldn’t stop it from becoming a mega hit. Will Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 be as successful? Who knows? We’ll have more information after the press conference.
