Thoughts on Breaking Bad: Rabid Dog
“What’s one more?”
Thus far the final season of Breaking Bad has been a non-stop thrill ride leading to the sure to be explosive finally. However this week’s episode felt like a setup for the final four episodes of the series. While this may not have been one of its finest episodes, Breaking Bad always manages to make even the most mundane scenarios seem intense and important, which is exactly what “Rapid Dog” did.
Thoughts on Breaking Bad: Confessions
Epiphany
Man oh man, this show. You think you know what way it is heading, and then it decides to take a sharp corner in which you did not see. This is storytelling at its finest folks.

The End is Nigh for Heisenberg
*This one is a week late as I have been travelling the wilderness and now I finally have an internet connection once more. Enjoy!
The final eight. It all comes down this!
Like the first episode of season five, we were teased with another bleak glimpse into Walter’s future. At first I did not even recognize the house, but it became quite apparent who’s place it was after someone spray-painted ‘Heseinberg’ across the wall in big fluorescent letters. The show has been using these flash forwards’ sparingly thus far, but I think it will become a habit in the remaining episodes. I completely forgot about the ricin, and as Walt leaves his house and sees his now former neighbor and sinisterly utters “Hello Carol”, chills came over me and I sat there both confused and enthralled as the smoky credits rolled.
Thoughts on The Walking Dead: “Welcome to the Tombs”
The Governor Comes to Take the Prison as Season 3 Closes

The Walking Dead as an entirety has had a great many ups and downs throughout its three seasons. As season two drew to a close last year, and viewers got their first glimpse of the prison, I, along with countless of others no doubt, grew increasingly anxious about Rick and the prison, as well as meeting the infamous Governor. However, as season three progressed, I grew less and less hopeful. “Welcome to the Tombs” was the final nail in the coffin as season three came to close in pitiful fashion, easily making this season the worst thus far.
Thoughts on The Walking Dead: “This Sorrowful Life”
In the midst of a very lackluster Andrea-centric episode last week, this weeks episode of The Walking Dead presented a surprisingly character-centric episode that focused on someone who’s allegiance has always lied somewhere in the middle- Merle.
Thoughts on The Walking Dead: “Prey”
A Wanted Woman
Well this episode certainly has been a long time coming. Since the beginning of the season, Andrea has continuously, and flawlessly, given in to the Governor and his actions. However, “Prey”, sought to change that with Andrea questioning his motives and his plans for the prison. Yet what should have been a big moment in the series came to feel a little deflated, for Andrea’s decision comes far too late in a season in a season of half-cocked actions and pitiful mistakes.
Thoughts on The Walking Dead: “Arrow on the Doorpost”
The Road to War is Paved
After last week’s astounding, character focused episode, it was unfortunate to see “Arrow on the Doorstep” return to the unfocused conflict between Rick and the Governor. While it did set up the final events leading to the end of the season, “Arrow on the Doorpost” felt forced and a way to progress the inevitable, and likely bloody, battlebetween the Prison and Woodbury.
