Thoughts on The Walking Dead: “Clear”

Forgive But Never Forget…

Well this week’s episode certainly was pleasant surprise. After seeing the “next time” clip at the end of last week’s terrible episode, I had little hope for “Clear”. However, I should not have been so cynical for this week’s episode turned out to be a smart, character focused story in which stands out as one of the, if not the, best episodes this season.

Thoughts on The Walking Dead: Made to Suffer

Stop! Hammer Time

Last week’s episode of The Walking Dead left the survivors in quite the interesting predicament. While Glenn and Maggie did all they could to survive, Rick and a rag-tag group came to infiltrate Woodbury. With a very intriguing cliff-hanger, I had high hopes for this week’s episode. Fortunately, “Made to Suffer” lived up to those expectations and then some, with some great character introductions and moments and some truly awesome action sequences.

Thoughts on The Walking Dead: When the Dead Come Knocking

Fight to Survive

First off I would like to say well done Glenn! This week’s episode of The Walking Dead was a very intense ride as characters fought to survive and protect those they love. After a mixed episode last week, this week’s episode certainly paved the way for the mid-season finale and had some big turning points for the series.

Thoughts on The Walking Dead: Hounded

Wanted Dead or Alive

This season of  The Walking Dead has been going strong. With some wonderful performances and scenes that feel ripped right from the pages of Kirkman’s comic series, this season of the Walking Dead has come to prove what this series is capable of. “Hounded” however, came off as a different breed of animal. While I did not find it to be as poor as “Killer Within”, this weeks episode felt out of place- a middle man of sorts-  and ultimately felt like a brief introduction into the second half of this already halved season, the remaining eight episode airing in the new year.

Thoughts on The Walking Dead: Say the Word

All work and no play makes Rick a dull boy

So far this season of The Walking Dead has been a great success. While there have been one or two hiccups, particularly last week’s massacre at the prison, so far this season has wonderfully been able to blend the comics and new material into forty-five minutes of sheer excitement. Say the Word picked up the pace once again, even though it had alot of ground to cover.

Thoughts on The Walking Dead: Walk With Me

The Governor Warmly Welcomes Its Newest Residents to Woodbury

The first two episodes of this season of The Walking Dead rank amongst the best of the series. They provided some great sequences, some intriguing character moments and above all else it felt like a bold step in the right direction for the series. “Walk With Me” had its finer moments, however it overall felt like but a taste as to what viewers will get from the residents of Woodbury. This is not to say that this week’s episode was terrible. Rather, it felt like half of a larger and more intriguing whole.

Thoughts on The Walking Dead: Seed

Riot Gear, Kitana’s, Silencer’s oh my!

Let me start off by saying that I am a unhealthily obsessed with The Walking Dead comic book series and so when AMC decided to create a show based off of the comics I may have shed a tear of joy. That being said, the television show is not without its issues, as can be seen with how slow season two was near the middle. Thankfully, “Seed” was a much improved way to kick off this season, and certainly brought new life into these characters as well as their situation.
