Thoughts on The Walking Dead: “Prey”

A Wanted Woman

Well this episode certainly has been a long time coming. Since the beginning of the season, Andrea has continuously, and flawlessly, given in to the Governor and his actions. However, “Prey”, sought to change that with Andrea questioning his motives and his plans for the prison. Yet what should have been a big moment in the series came to feel a little deflated, for Andrea’s decision comes far too late in a season in a season of half-cocked actions and pitiful mistakes.

Thoughts on The Walking Dead: “Arrow on the Doorpost”

The Road to War is Paved

After last week’s astounding, character focused episode, it was unfortunate to see “Arrow on the Doorstep” return to the unfocused conflict between Rick and the Governor. While it did set up the final events leading to the end of the season, “Arrow on the Doorpost” felt forced and a way to progress the inevitable, and likely bloody, battlebetween the Prison and Woodbury.

Thoughts on The Walking Dead: Made to Suffer

Stop! Hammer Time

Last week’s episode of The Walking Dead left the survivors in quite the interesting predicament. While Glenn and Maggie did all they could to survive, Rick and a rag-tag group came to infiltrate Woodbury. With a very intriguing cliff-hanger, I had high hopes for this week’s episode. Fortunately, “Made to Suffer” lived up to those expectations and then some, with some great character introductions and moments and some truly awesome action sequences.

Thoughts on The Walking Dead: When the Dead Come Knocking

Fight to Survive

First off I would like to say well done Glenn! This week’s episode of The Walking Dead was a very intense ride as characters fought to survive and protect those they love. After a mixed episode last week, this week’s episode certainly paved the way for the mid-season finale and had some big turning points for the series.

Thoughts on The Walking Dead: Killer Within

Things quickly go to hell at the prison

If I can give this week’s episode of The Walking Dead one compliment, it would be unexpected- and I use that in the worst sense of the word. The first three episodes of this season have been top notch, so much so that it quickly was becoming my favorite season, but this episode felt like it tried to pack in too much, which included some big decisions and some random, but not totally unexpected deaths.

Thoughts on The Walking Dead: Walk With Me

The Governor Warmly Welcomes Its Newest Residents to Woodbury

The first two episodes of this season of The Walking Dead rank amongst the best of the series. They provided some great sequences, some intriguing character moments and above all else it felt like a bold step in the right direction for the series. “Walk With Me” had its finer moments, however it overall felt like but a taste as to what viewers will get from the residents of Woodbury. This is not to say that this week’s episode was terrible. Rather, it felt like half of a larger and more intriguing whole.
