I said I would never play Slender again. And I meant that, or at least I thought I did. But here I am once again sitting in front of a computer monitor ready to get the crap scared out of me.
Happy Halloween! As a special bonus video, I decided to grab my sister (Who scares easily) and have her play the viral hit Slender. I am personally terrified of Slenderman and she’s easily scared, so […]
Horror in video games is incredibly hard to pull off. At this point, the scares are rote and uninteresting. There’s a hallway with a flashing light, I bet some scary lady will blink right in front of me for a brief second. What I found so thrilling about Nightmare House 2 was how most of those preconceived notions of video game horror were basically thrown out the window. Nightmare House 2 is not as scary as Slender, but it is tense and has some of my favorite jump scares.

Within moments of briefly skimming the press release and seeing that it said FMV, Kinect, and Chris Evans, I dropped everything I was doing and rushed to my Xbox. Fearing this was some kind of joke or PR stunt or something, I thought I should download it as soon as possible before it gets pulled for being too crazy or something. Well, it’s plenty crazy and we played through the whole thing so you won’t have to.
You see that picture up there? That might be an accurate representation of the mod we look at this week, or it might be something that was on the mod page and was not in the actual game. But who would be crazy enough to make a mod and put pictures up for stuff that wasn’t even in the mod? Or maybe, this mod is so great that there are things we didn’t see because we just don’t get art games or something. I don’t know.
Yeah, you read that title correctly; this is the final episode of our Hitman: Blood Money playthrough! After constant trials and tribulations, murders and mayhem, laughter and tears, and so many audio/video problems we have finally done the impossible. We have completed Hitman: Blood Money. It took far too long, sure, but at least it has happened.
